"Sara Banerji's view of the world is completely original and vivid... she is always worth reading" Philip Pullman
Sara Banerji, author, sculptor, artist and creative writing teacher, is a well established figure in the literary world. As well as writing her own work, she teaches creative writing and hosts writers' discussion groups - including the highly successful monthly ' Literary Café Lunches ' in Oxford.
Sara also exhibits her paintings and sculptures in Oxford and has regularly featured in Oxford's Artsweeks.
A descendant of 18th century "father of the novel form", Henry Fielding, Banerji's voice is described by critics as 'original and highly imaginative' 'entertaining','bold', 'punchy', 'exciting', 'gripping, fluid and confident'. She is widely acclaimed as 'a very gifted storyteller'.

- SHARKSPARK - 27th February, 8 pm, The Living Room, Oxford Castle
Come and hear people tell amazing, unscripted, true stories on the theme of 'Telling Lies' - in less than five minutes - and meet new people over a drink. The event is free and is hosted by Bill Heine of BBC Radio Oxford. It is part of SparkOxford, which I have set up, based on SparkLondon which I took part in last October. SparkOxford is held on the last Monday of every month at The Living Room . You can book and enjoy a pre show meal. No need to book for SharkSpark but it would be helpful to the restaurant if you would let them know that you are planning to come.
